October: EMSAfrica meets in Frankfurt and Hamburg
EMSAfrica organised two meetings in Germany in October. In Frankfurt, hosted by the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre (BiK-F), we met for two days to discuss research collaborations with special emphasis on vegetation modelling and biome shifts. Later on at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the focus was on the project's work related to Decision Support Systems and training initiatives.
Our next main annual meeting will be organised at the Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative Campus at the Kruger National Park during the 27.-29.2., just before the Savanna Science Network Meeting. We are looking forward to meeting up with the larger consortium network!
